SCADA and Automation

The need of Automation and Monitoring systems is increasing day by day. The use of automated systems reduces human intervention thereby giving a lot of advantages such as increased efficiency, no human touch and error. All of PROPACK’S equipment are available in automated options as well.

An automated plant has pneumatic valves operated by solenoid which is controlled by a PLC. This PLC also controls all the other parameters such as the operation of the motors for agitators and homogenisers, Transfer pumps and all the other utilities. The “Recipe” can be changed from the HMI screen. The user can also vary these parameters just by touch from the HMI screen provided.

One step further is the SCADA system. The SCADA System helps the production manager on floor to monitor the entire process of the plant from his own office or designated area. In case of SCADA systems the production manager or the supervisor gets real time data of the entire process. The user can also control the process from a single computer at his desk.

Over all these years PROPACK has supplied a lot of Automated systems along with SCADA systems. One such recent example is the antacid line for one of our clients. The entire line was fully automated along with a SCADA system. Even though the plant had 32 vessels, the entire production process if needed can be monitored and controlled by a single person remotely.
